The Ensemble EDI Processing solution is designed to provide retail
supply channel vendors with the tools you need to realize productivity
gains and increase business with key customers. You can leverage our
experience with over 70 trading partners with full-featured Electronic
Data Interchange (EDI), Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), UCC-128 compliance
labeling, cataloging, factor credit authorization automation, third-party
warehouse interfaces and more.
Our EDI Processing solution goes beyond the typical “add-on” approach taken by many ERP software vendors. We’ve designed Ensemble from the ground up with embedded EDI and Quick Response (QR) technologies with the stated objectives of meeting trading partner compliance requirements within the normal workflow of your business and avoiding redundant processes.
Here are some examples of how Ensemble is EDI enabled:
Workflow Options - The flow of documents through the order fulfillment modules may be configured by customer and by sales order. This is especially important when working with EDI trading partners with varying workflow requirements. Customer and order profiles can be applied based on how the order was entered – via inbound EDI processing or manually – or even the order type – bulk or replenishment for example. Workflow options that can be configured by customer and order include fulfillment methodology, allocation priorities, pack methods, container types, container codes and compliance labels.
Organizational Relationships - In addition to standard provisions for Bill-to and Ship-to customer relationships Ensemble allows you to define and organize Distribution Centers, Stores and Departments. We give you the ability to define cross-docking relationships and to easily handle DC shipments, direct to store shipments and even drop ship direct to consumer shipments.
Data Dictionary Based Labels & Maps - All compliance labels – UCC-128, carton contents, UPC, etc. – and EDI maps are created and maintained using native Ensemble modules powered by a robust data dictionary. This means that programming is not required when standards change and labels and maps can be executed quickly from within Ensemble applications.
Packing List Processing - Integrated real time UCC-128 container and content label printing and capture of compliance related information reduces downstream data entry requirements in an EDI environment.
Ship Notice/Manifest - EDI 856 document processing is integrated in-line so you can transmit as soon as the shipment is prepared. EDI 753 Routing Requests and EDI 754 Routing Instructions are fully supported.
